H. B. 106 -- "A BILL to
amend and reenact §18-5-17 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended; and to amend and reenact §18- 9A-5 of said code, all relating to comprehensive health screening for students entering public school for the first time in this state, students entering third grade, students entering sixth grade and students entering ninth grade; defining terms; effective dates for changes in screening requirements; definitions for screening and documentation; condition for developmental screening for enrolled students; entering data on education information system by certain service personnel; coordination and information to parents or guardians and providers; effect of failure or refusal to obtain or disclose contents of screening on enrollment, attendance and requirement for alternative pre-enrollment screening; requirement to provide information and recommend comprehensive health screening prior to development screening for children under compulsory age; and providing additional state aid formula positions for service personnel.
